On May 25, 2023, the Confucius Institute at St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje successfully organized the HSK home online test in North Macedonia.
To ensure the exam went smoothly, on May 18, the Confucius Institute at UKIM held an intensive mock test for teachers and students one week in advance, and each examination room was staffed with local Chinese-speaking volunteers to assist with translation.
A total of 10 candidates participated in this HSK exam, including 6 for HSK-1 and 4 for HSK-2. On the day of the exam, the Confucius Institute arranged all tasks in an orderly manner and provided timely guidance to resolve any issues that arose during the test. With the meticulous organization of all the teachers, the HSK exam was successfully completed.
Since 2018, the Confucius Institute at St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje has been organizing the HSK exams. To date, more than 200 Chinese learners in North Macedonia have participated in either the online (home-based) or offline HSK exams, providing great convenience for them to assess their Chinese language proficiency, apply for scholarships to study in China, and seek employment opportunities in China.
