In order to vividly present the exchange and cooperation between China and North Macedonia in the field of education and culture, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje participated in the large-scale TV series “On the Silk Road”， arranged and organized by the Chinese Embassy in North Macedonia. On February 19th, the first episode of the documentary series was broadcast on the North Macedonia National Radio and Television Station.

In the documentary, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje Directors Vlatko Stoilkov and Liao Wei introduced the mission, development history and achievements of the Institute, and invited the citizens of North Macedonia to enroll in the Confucius Institute Chinese language courses.

Confucius Institute teacher, Guo Xiaofang introduced her Chinese teaching experience. The students shared their experiences learning Chinese, participation in the Summer Camp in China and “Chinese Bridge” competition. The Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University was featured heavily and represented extensively in the first episode of the documentary series “On the Silk Road”.

North Macedonia National Radio and Television (MRT) is North Macedonia’s national public service broadcaster. There are a total of 6 episodes in the “On the Silk Road” TV documentary series, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University assisted in recording two special topics: education and culture, and comprehensively demonstrated the results of the cooperation in the field of humanities exchanges between China and North Macedonia. It shows the contribution of the Confucius Institute in terms of mutual assistance and mutual trust between the two countries. The recording and broadcasting of this documentary will play an important role in promoting the popularity and influence of the Confucius Institute.
