CI at UKIM attended the 70th Founding Anniversary Ceremony of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University
On May 21,2019, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary, and the deans of the CI at UKIM, Prof.Liao Wei and Prof.Vlatko Stoilkov, attended the ceremony and presented a flower basket to the statue of North Macedonian educational pioneers Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
At 8 pm, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University held a big celebration party at the Macedonian Opera and Dance Theatre. In president Nikola Jankulovski’s speech, he reviewed the 70 years of entrepreneurship and brilliant achievements of the university, as well as cooperation and friendship with other national institutions.
The concert was performed by the College of Music and the Symphony Orchestra. More than 600 people from all walks of life attended the grand celebration party, including different departments of North Macedonian government, the ambassadors , teachers and students of CI and the university and so on.

On April 23, 2019, the World Reading Day, Confucius Institute at Ss. Exploring the origin of Chinese characters and savoring the charm of Chinese ——Lecture of Chinese culture series successfully held in CI at UKIM
On April 2nd, 2019，Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University invited Dr.Feng Haicheng(Igor Radev), a young sinologist from North Macedonia, to conduct a special lecture entitled The Six methods of Creating Chinese Characters. Both Chinese and North Macedonian dean of CI, Prof. Liao Wei and Prof. Vlatko Stoilkov attended and hosted this lecture. Around 30 people were present, including teachers and students from CI and other people from North Macedonia. There were frequent interactions and heated discussions during the lecture.
