On March 14, 2026, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM) officially launched its first Chinese language and culture courses in Ohrid at the University for Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle.”
The program offers a variety of courses, including Chinese language, calligraphy, paper cutting, Tai Chi, and Chinese culture classes. More than 200 students have registered, showing strong enthusiasm for learning Chinese language and culture.
This initiative marks an important step in expanding Chinese language education in Ohrid and provides local students with opportunities to explore China’s rich traditions, arts, and philosophy through engaging and interactive classes.
The Confucius Institute at UKIM will continue to promote educational cooperation and cultural exchange between China and North Macedonia, encouraging more students to discover the Chinese language and culture.
