Savoring Chinese Tea Aroma, Appreciating Eastern Charm
The Confucius Institute at UKIM participated in the Tea Culture Festival held at Skopje City Mall on November 14th and 16th. Chinese Ambassador H.E. Jiang Xiaoyan and the Macedonian Director of the Confucius Institute, Prof. Vlatko Stoilkov, attended the event. Students and teachers from the Institute presented a series of performances—including Chinese classical dance, bilingual singing, hulusi and other instrumental pieces, as well as poetry and allegro recitations. These vibrant performances attracted many local residents and created a lively cultural atmosphere.
In addition to the stage program, visitors also enjoyed traditional tea-making demonstrations, Chinese calligraphy, and paper-cutting activities. Through these engaging experiences, audiences gained a deeper appreciation of Chinese tea culture and traditional arts. The event further promoted cultural exchange between China and North Macedonia and offered the Confucius Institute a meaningful opportunity to engage with the local community.
