On February 15, 2025, the Pagoda Skopje Association held a “Lantern Workshop” featuring volunteers from the UKIM Confucius Institute, offering local participants a taste of Chinese culture.
Volunteer teacher Zhang Yuting opened the event with an engaging introduction to the origins, traditions, and modern customs of Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival. Participants listened attentively, gaining insight into the cultural significance of these festivals.
Next, volunteer teacher Zeng Yi presented a brief introduction to Chinese calligraphy and demonstrated how to write the character “福” (meaning “blessing”). Attendees enthusiastically tried their hand at brush writing, enjoying the charm of traditional Chinese art.
The event concluded with group photos and warm festival wishes, leaving participants inspired and eager to learn more about Chinese culture.
