On December 26, 2024, the “Be Worthy of Art” Chinese Traditional Painting Tour and Lecture, organized by the Confucius Institute at UKIM, concluded its final stop in Bitola, North Macedonia. Professor Liao Wei, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, attended and delivered a speech. Over 20 participants, including Confucius Institute teachers, Chinese students, and local art enthusiasts, joined the event.
Renowned artist Professor Gao Shi, a national first-class painter, demonstrated Chinese painting and calligraphy techniques, introduced the basics of Chinese painting, and interacted warmly with the audience.
During the exhibition and lecture, attendees showed great interest, raised questions, and shared insights on techniques, symbolism, and inscriptions in Chinese paintings.
This event fostered cultural exchange between China and North Macedonia, paving the way for deeper cooperation in the future.
