Following the success of a two-day event in Skopje, the Confucius Institute at UKIM brought the Chinese Traditional Painting Exhibition to Prilep Municipality on December 15, 2024. The event was held at the House of Culture Marko Cepenkov, a prominent cultural venue in the city.
The opening featured speeches by the mayor of the Municipality of Prilep, Mr. Borche Jovcheski, and the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at UKIM, Prof. Liao Wei. Approximately 40 attendees gathered to experience the cultural showcase.
Renowned artist Prof. Gao Shi gave a brief introduction to Chinese painting techniques and offered insights on appreciating this traditional art form. Attendees listened attentively and expressed great interest, leaving with a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
To commemorate the occasion, Prof. Gao presented original paintings to and Mayor Jovcheski, and the co-organizing institution, House of Culture Marko Cepenkov, symbolizing strengthened cultural ties between China and North Macedonia.
The exhibition not only highlighted the beauty of Chinese art but also fostered cultural exchange and friendship between the two nations.
