On October 4th, Prof. Liao Wei, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University led a group of Chinese teachers to visit Rade Jovcevski-Korcagin High School—the visit aimed to discuss the possibility of resuming cooperation in Chinese language teaching.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Liao Wei recalled the previous close collaboration between the Confucius Institute and Rade Jovcevski-Korcagin High School before the pandemic. The two sides had worked closely together, resulting in the cultivation of many outstanding students. Liao Wei then provided the principal with an overview of the Confucius Institute, including its basic information and courses. Mrs. Elena Stojanova Dimitrov, the high school principal, expressed their anticipation and confidence in restarting the cooperative efforts.
During the meeting, Aleksandra Icevska, a student studying Chinese for eight years, shared her learning experience and recounted her feelings about attending summer camps in China. Finally, the headmaster guided the teachers to tour the classrooms and library. In a joyful atmosphere, both sides happily agreed on further cooperation.
This meeting aimed to promote increased collaboration and enhance the influence of Chinese language teaching in the future.
