On September 28, 2021, the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje held the online faculty meeting to mark the beginning of the new semester and welcome the new group of online Chinese volunteer teachers joining the Confucius Institute.
Due to the epidemic, the Confucius Institute will continue with the online teaching format. The courses are open to four different age groups: primary school students, high school students, college students, and adults. There are five levels of classes: Chinese for children and HSK 1-4. The teachers are committed to making full use of online teaching resources and formulating creative teaching plans.
In the autumn semester of 2021, the courses taught by Confucius Institute local teachers started on September 13, while the Chinese online teachers started their classes on October 4. The combination of local teachers and Chinese teachers was introduced at the outset of the epidemic. It has proven beneficial, and the accumulated new experience has contributed to the further development of the Confucius Institute.
